Which Shutters are right for you?

Updated: Feb 26, 2021

Shutters are SUCH an easy to transform a space! But with so many different options, how can you know which ones are right for your space? Don't worry, we've got your back...

Okay, so you're at the point of needing new window coverings, and you've decided on shutters (because you have great taste). But 64mm or 89mm? PVC or Hardwood Timber? Centre control, or no centre control? What do all of these details even mean?!

Timber Shutters

Our timber shutters are made from Hardwood Poplar. We love our timber shutters as they are sustainable, have a 15 year structural warranty, have a Hardened Two-pack paint finish and look a-mazing!

Our timber shutters are made in China to Australian standards. We've been manufacturing these particular shutters for over 10 years and feel extremely proud of our product.

They standard lead time is 6-8 weeks from the time of order.

We think they're worth waiting for!

PVC Shutters

PVC shutters offer the beautiful / sleek look of our timber shutters. These shutters are manufactured in Australia and hence, we can get them to you ASAP (... 3 weeks). We've worked with these manufacturers for 0ver 10 years and feel confident that you'll adore these shutters!

89mm Blade Size

This is our most popular blade size due to it's versatility (it's the best all-rounder). If you have a modern or contemporary home, 89mm will look amazing!

69mm Blade Size

A 69mm blade size offers a more traditional feel. If you have a Victorian or similar home, 69mm blades will probably look the most cohesive.

Centre Controls

Now, to centre control or not to centre control?

You can have a centre control bar on either of our shutter blade sizes.

A centre control bar is the bar you can have attached to the outside of your shutters to open and close the blades.

If you opt not to have a centre control bar, your shutter blades will still move open and closed in unison.

The centre control bar is ultimately a style choice. Control bars typically feel more traditional, verses clean and clear blades that don't boast a bar.

If you're still stuck for choice, give us a call and we can help you decide!
